Wildland firefighting

The Lee County Fire Chief’s Association (LCFCA) is composed of officials from area fire departments, emergency medical services, emergency management, law enforcement and the Department of Forestry.

Founded in 19xx, the LCFCA strives to support, promote and develop chief officers by providing centralized resources, services, education and cooperation. Members of the association contribute to an overall county-wide emergency management infrastructure by serving in specialized roles that are subject to emergency activation 24/7. Teams are assembled that can respond and manage large incidents such as natural disasters, terrorism, disease outbreaks, wildland fire and other events that may over task local emergency responders.

In addition, many functional groups and sub-committees address important topics that affect the members of the association. These topics include emergency communications, operational procedures, specialized taskforces, training and many more.
